Praxair Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Praxair, Inc. is an American worldwide industrial gases company. It was the largest industrial gases company in North and South America, and the third-largest worldwide by revenue. In 2018 it merged with Linde AG to form Linde plc.

According to a report published for BLOOMBERG back in June 2019 Praxair was accused of polluting Los Angeles Waterways With Toxins. Praxair Inc. hasn’t taken proper measures to keep pollutants from one of its industrial facilities out of Los Angeles waterways in violation of the Clean Water Act and California’s Industrial General Permit, a new lawsuit alleged back then. Stormwater allegedly was flowing over the nine-acre facility, down the Dominguez Channel, into the Los Angeles Harbor, and out into the San Pedro Bay.

Current Employee - Operations Technician says

"There are many things (promotions) that are promised. The management does this to keep your working hard; they never deliver."

Former Employee - Maintenance Mechanic says

"Completely dysfunctional! Managers do not take responsibility for their actions. Training doesn't exist, you are thrown to the wolves. HR literally is there to collect a check.. they honestly do not care."

Former Employee - Material Handler says

"People threaten people without consequences. People get to slack on their job and others have to help or get in trouble."

Current Employee - Operations Technician says

"They recently fired a few people because of the smallest infractions. It seems like the harder you work the more likely they fire you, which make people not wanna do OT. If you don't do OT they get mad too. You can't win with these people."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"Completely dysfunctional work processes. Managers so focused on looking good for their own bosses, they have no clue what is going on below them. Blame is thrown around like confetti when things go wrong. Decades old cliques are everywhere and your ability to get anything done is dependent on “who you know.” No team player mentality whatsoever. I was hoping the merger would show steps toward improvement by trimming the deadwood and refining processes, but if anything, it only made it ten times worse. If you care about doing your job successfully, do not come here. If you just want a paycheck and don’t care past that, this is the place for you."

Former Employee - Management says

"Bad leadership, only cares about profit"

says

"Nepotism is out of control. You will be hired for one position but in reality will be doing several things with little explanation and no pay increase. HR is seriously entitled and are down right bullies. Transition from one job to the next is a full on JOKE."

Former Employee - Account Manager says

"Culture is terrible. They have signs and marketing throughout their offices that claim they are a diverse and inclusive employer. That is not only a red flag that there is a problem, but it is false. There are hardly any women that are in mid level leadership roles (area sales roles) or that have business development roles (engineering), etc., which is a big problem for Prax. Clearly, they don’t have a work culture that truly is about hiring the best, most diverse candidates and growing them, because that is not overly visible in the employee pool. You don’t see many people get promoted, either. If you are a motivated professional, look elsewhere. This company has a toxic culture that will not get you where you want to be. They also treat their customers poorly and only care about the bottom line. Unfortunately, nothing will change without a major shake up in leadership."

says

"Management has zero knowledge of the great potential of staff working for them. This is not a nurturing environment. If wanting advancement opportunities look elsewhere."

says

"You literally do everyone’s job!"

Plant manager just handing out promotions to who ever he feels like or better yet who ever he is going out drinking with People coming and going as they please what everhours they feel like working. harassment all over the place. literal fist fights and screaming matches on the production floor all swept under the rug I had 4 "bosses" telling me 4 different things daily while working here. who is in charge? Favoratism because everyone is related to one another different standards for different people depending on who your related to Team leaders are nasty and rude when they show up to work that is. almost forced to work overtime Pay is disgusting and you want to know why you have a turn over problem? do yourself a favor and do what every other person who got hired here did, go 35 min up the road to pratt and whitney and get paid double for no aggrovation and half the hours.Pension if you can make it that longEverything"

Production Manager (Former Employee) says

"This is the worst place to work as a person of color. Between the management and the union, your screwed. The management discriminates big time. They are more interested in finding faults than helping you do you job safely and correctly. They give poor on the job training and it is an unsafe environment. Worst place to work in the United States."

Operations Assistant (Current Employee) says

"Management only cares about certain (friends) employees. He caters to them while he pushes others to work more and more. Even when there are injuries they are ignoredNoneManagement, Long Hours"

Chamber Operator/Operation Technician (Former Employee) says

"This job had liitle room for advancement. Laid off and pay was low with minimum overtime. I did learn a lot. I got to work in multiple areas. Picked up a lot of knowledge."

Production Operative (Former Employee) says

"Worse company I have ever worked for, I worked at there oldmixon branch based in Weston super mare. You get dragged along with the understanding you'll have a contract at the end of it but trust me you won't you are just a number and you feel it too. Honestly would rather be out of work than work there. Leave well alone for your own dignity. No respect whatsoever, never any clear messages and you get lied to and threatened with your job continuosly.Free coffeeEverything"

REGIONAL OPERATIONS COORDINATOR (Former Employee) says

"sad place to work these days, no work life balance, no upper management respect. Too much work, not enough employees to carry out the work. Shareholders pockets are bottom line for this company."

Carol Tittman says

"The part of Danbury Hospital I am reviewing is PRAXAIR CANCER CENTER. I was an employee of PRAXAIR, INC., WORKED WITH THE CEO, CFO, COO, VP’s. WHEN PRAXAIR DONATED $2 million TO BUILD THE EXISTING PRAXAIR CANCER CENTER, I WAS THE ONE WHO WROTE THE CHECKS. AT THAT TIME I DID NOT REALIZE, KNOW THAT I WOULD END UP BEING A PATIENT THERE. I WAS ADVISED TO GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM WHEN MY BLOOD WORK CAME BACK SAYING I WAS KNOCKING ON DEATH’s DOOR. GOOD DOCTORS ARE 1 IN A MILLION, I WAS FORTUNATE TO HAVE BEEN SEEN BY ONE IN THE ER. OF COURSE WHAT TRANSPIRED INTO QUITE A LONG STORY WHICH I WILL NOT DELVE INTO. WHEN I WAS ALLOWED TO RETURN HOME FROM YALE NEW HAVEN HOSPITAL, I WAS FOLLOWED BY THE SAME DOCTOR WHO SAW ME IN THE ER FOR A DURATION IF 15 YEARS. AT THE BEGINNING EVERY OTHER DAY, THEN ONCE A WEEK, THEN ONCE A MONTH, FINALLY ONCE EVERY THREE MONTHS FOR THOSE 15 YEARS, THIS WONDERFUL DOCTOR ENDED UP LEAVING PRAXAIR CANCER CENTER, INTERESTINGLY SO DID HIS ENTIRE STAFF. WHAT TRANSPIRED THEREAFTER WAS HORRIFIC. A FEMALE DOCTOR WAS FOLLOWING ME, ROUTINE BLOODWORK. A REPORT CAME BACK FROM A FINGER TEST WHERE I WAS DYING AGAIN. I WAS VERY PUT OUT SINCE FOR 15 YEARS MY PROGRESS HAD STABILIZED AND MY BLOOD REPORT NUMBERS WERE WHERE THEY SHOULD BE. I QUESTIONED THIS DOCTOR, SHE SAID THEY WOULD DRAW BLOOD FROM THE VEIN AND OF COURSE A NORMAL READING. I LEFT THAT DAY, UNNERVED, ANGRY. THAT DOCTOR LEFT DANBURY HOSPITAL. ANOTHER DOCTOR TOOK HER PLACE, WHERE WHEN I HAD MY APPOINTMENT HIS NURSE WAS GOING TO DO A FINGER TEST. I BEGAN ARGUING WITH HER UNTIL SHE SAID SHE WOULD TALK TO THE DOCTOR. SURE ENOUGH BLOOD DRAWN FROM THE VEIN. I LEFT THAT APPOINTMENT FURIOUS. I THEN PAID A VISIT TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGER AND QUESTIONED WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH THESE FINGER TESTS. SHE SAID THEY WERE DOING FINGER TESTS ON CHEMO PATIENTS. THAT IS WHEN I LOST IT, I LET HER KNOW IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS THAT I WAS NOT A CHEMO PATIENT, IF ANYONE BOTHERED TO READ THE RECORDS/CHARTS OF THE PATIENTS THEY WOULD HAVE KNOWN I NEVER HAD CHEMO AFTER I LEFT YALE NEW HAVEN HOSPITAL. SHE THEN PROCEEDED TO PUT IN RED IN MY CHART TO DRAW BLOOD FROM THE VEIN, WHICH ACTUALLY WAS NOT NECESSARY AS I GOT ALL MY RECORDS, TESTS, EVERYTHING AND NEVER WENT BACK TO THAT FACILITY. TRIED TO SUE/BRING FORTH A LAWSUIT, MALPRACTICE. THESE DOCTORS DO NOT READ CHARTS, DO NOT CARE, AND YET WANT TO BE REVERED AS OMNIPOTENT. ACTUALLY THEY SHOULD BE ARRESTED FOR SCREWING WITH PATIENTS LIVES/HEALTH. A WORD OF ADVICE, WHEN GOING TO BE SEEN BY A DOCTOR, WE PATIENTS KNOW A LOT MORE THAN THEY DO, THEY DO NOT CARE, JUST PRESCRIBE DRUGS TO KEEP US PACIFIED, LIKE PUTTING A PACIFIER IN A BABY’s MOUTH TO SHUT THEM UP. WE PATIENTS SUFFER MORE AT THEIR HANDS THAN DOING ANY GOOD. BE YOUR OWN ADVOCATE, DO YOUR RESEARCH, WHEN A DOCTOR PRESCRIBES A DRUG/MEDICATION AND SAYS DO NOT LOOK IT UP ON THE COMPUTER, DO NOT LISTEN AND LOOK IT UP AND DO NOT TAKE THAT DRUG/MEDICATION. LOOK FOR SIDE EFFECTS, OFTEN THESE DRUGS DO MORE HARM THAN GOOD. BE SMARTER THAN THESE DOCTORS WHO ONLY WRITE PRESCRIPTIONS FOR DRUGS AND REALLY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE PATIENT. ACTUALLY PROBABLY BETTER OFF NOT GOING TO DOCTORS AT ALL. A CO WORKER WENT TO A DOCTOR, THE DOCTOR PRESCRIBED A DRUG AND SAID SHE WOULD NEVER TAKE THAT DRUG. DOCTORS ARE OWNED BY THE PHARMA COMPANIES AND THE PATIENTS ARE THEIR TESTS. WHY DO THEY BECOME DOCTORS IN THE FIRST PLACE??"
